Social media blossoming into its final form.

The evolution of social media through the lenses everyone eyes has been remarkable to say the least, we’ve witnessed the evolution of social media since we first started using it. Now a days everything that’s happening around the world is first seen on social media before even traditional news outlets. There was a time when news didn’t travel as fast as it does now, Public figures like Presidents tweeting, and this industry financially changing people’s lives. The quick rate of social media materializes, also came with a hefty criticism as many saw it as a distraction to school kids and society as a whole. Automatically it came with a stigma that millennials are overusing these platforms and no success could come out of It, the negative backlash was probably justifiable in certain instances but overall, we’ve seen how this technology has single handed changed the way we interact, entertain, and most importantly make substantial living of it. Even though the impact of social media is undeniable and the crucial role it played into blossoming our culture, economy and the overall view of this world, there still should be a responsibility of the way we operate in it. There is a number of people we refer to as internet thugs who use social media to further push negative agendas in hopes of recruiting and find more people around the world who are similar to them. Racism is one of these agendas that’s spreading online like a rapid fire. Racial hate or cyber-racism has a strategic plan on how they operate, and their main goals are to build a bigger audience to continue to hurt and undermine other groups intentionally. But not every racist is in a group, there are many individual people who are racist, and they use social media accounts to express how they feel about other. Recently in England this issue have been trending after a famous professional soccer player named Wilfred Zana posted racist messages and images he received on his Instagram, prior to the athlete posting those disturbing messages other high profiled athletes in Europe also endured some form of  online racism, in fact just 2019 15 racist incidents occurred. Zaha received gruesome messages “ "better not score" or the sender would show up at his house "dressed as a ghost," called him a "black c---," and also included photos of the Ku Klux Klan and a racist depiction of blackface with a racial slur. This incident showed people across the world how social media can be used as a negative weapon to harm other people even online. As far as we all are concern social media is the present and most certainly the future, it is here to stay no matter how one might feel about it, the evolution of the internet which untimely gave us social media has been resounding, we rely on social media for our daily news, daily entertainment and for some daily survival financially.
